This 90 minute workshop is intended to educate parents of children and other dependents with special needs on not just providing for a lifetime of care, but quality of life issues. Most families are unaware that if they leave their child with special needs more than $2,000, they will lose eligibility for most government benefits. Topics included are government benefit eligibility, guardianship and conservatorship, guardian ad litem, client self-determination, special needs trusts, letters of intent, financial security, funding options, and life care planning - providing for a lifetime of quality care. Diann Jones, MBA, the host of this workshop, is a MetDESK® Specialist (MetLife’s Division of Estate Planning for Special Kids).
